  • Core observability — reads, events, logs, knowledge graph, scheduled health reports, chat UI
  • Core Plus writes — approval-gated apply / scale / restart / cordon / helm install + upgrade + uninstall, hash-chained audit log
  • Cloud — IAM + IRSA verification, RDS / ElastiCache / S3 / ECR / Secrets / VPC / Cost Explorer reads, Terraform scaffolding
  • Developer Platform (IDP) — golden-path scaffolding, manifest emission, approval-gated developer change sets (shipping in a follow-up release)
  • Every capability you enable in Helm values is included in the flat rate

How billing works

  • One flat hourly rate. $0.10/hr per pod-hour, billed via your AWS Marketplace subscription. Single dimension — no tiers, no bundle selection, no per-capability metering.
  • 30 days free on first subscribe. The trial activates automatically — no charges until it ends.
  • Clu reports usage hourly via aws-marketplace:MeterUsage. Best-effort: a failed report logs a warning and retries on the next tick.
  • You're billed while the Clu pod is running. Scale to zero to pause billing — useful for dev clusters that idle nights and weekends.
  • Which capabilities you enable in Helm values (Core / Core Plus / Cloud / Developer Platform) is independent of billing. Everything is included at the flat rate; the Helm-values switches just control what the agent has access to in your cluster.

Frequently asked questions

How is Clu priced?
A single flat rate of $0.10/hr per pod-hour while Clu is running on AWS Marketplace. Roughly $72/cluster/month for a single-pod install running 24/7. AWS bills hourly via aws-marketplace:MeterUsage; scale to zero to pause billing.
What's included?
Everything. Core observability, Core Plus writes, the Cloud AWS surface, and the Developer Platform tier (when it ships) are all available at the single flat rate. Which capabilities you turn on is a Helm-values decision (modules.core.enabled, modules.corePlus.enabled, modules.cloud.enabled, modules.developerPlatform.enabled); the bill doesn't change based on which ones you have on.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 30 days free on first subscribe. The trial activates automatically when you subscribe; AWS doesn't charge until it ends. Scale the Clu pod to zero anytime during or after the trial to pause billing.
Where can I install Clu?
Amazon EKS, exclusively through AWS Marketplace, installed via Helm against the Marketplace ECR registry. Public-registry distribution (GHCR) with a self-managed licensing option will follow once Clu expands beyond EKS.
How is metering implemented?
An hourly background job calls aws-marketplace:MeterUsage with the flat-rate dimension. AWS bills $0.10 per report. Best-effort: failed reports log a warning and the next tick retries. Scale to zero to pause billing — billing stops when the pod stops.
Does Clu send my data anywhere?
No. Clu runs inside your cluster — installed via Helm against your EKS cluster — and calls inference against your own Amazon Bedrock account via IRSA. Cluster data, credentials, and prompts never leave your AWS account. There's no SaaS dependency and no phone-home telemetry.
What support is included?
Email support during the preview. Reach out at sales@cloudology.cloud — pilot customers get direct access to the engineering team.
